[Henricus de Friemaria] Lyre preceptoriu(m) sive expositio tripharia p(ro)utilis, in decalogu(m) legis divi(n)e: cum multis pulcherrimis tractatulis ac additio(n)ibus ...[Cologne, H. Bungart] 14 May 1505. Contemp. coloured calf binding with late Gothic blindstamping (stamp "Maria" banner, fruits nad others). 8vo. 112 non-numb. ll. - Rubricated all the way through.
VD 16, ZV 7702. - BM STC, German Books p. 651. - Not in Adams. - Very rare edition, increased by several treatises by Hermann Bungart in Cologne. The work, that had often erroneously been ascribed to Nicolaus de Lyra, is nowadays ascribed to Henricus de Friemaria without any doubt and was published in Rouen in 1490 (cf. GW X, 621). - Contains, besides the main work, also treatises by the author and tractats by Anselm of Canterbury, Bernhard of Clairvaux and Isidor of Sevilla. - Somewhat stained and with water stains in places, ca. last 6 ll. with stronger worming (mainly to margin, slight loss of printed matter), with isolated marginal defects, last l. mounted to inner boards in former times. Binding withtraces of use.
Scarce Cologne edition by Bungart, enlarged with treatises of Sain Anselm, Saint Bernard and Isidorus Hispalensis. Rubricated and with few painted initials. Contemp. tinted leather with Gothic blindstamps (worn). - Some staining and waterstaining, last 6 leaves with worming (minor loss of text), few leaves with marginal defects, last leaf mounted on pastedown in old time.
